Soft Tissue Strategies for Diastasis Recti

C-Section Scar Therapy and Massage
Scars are for life and must be LOVED. This means touching your scar and learning to massage and stretch your scar and surrounding areas. I attended bump to beyond, initially for a mummy mot. I had a planned c section and wasn't happy with the aftercare received or lack of from the nhs. The inability of the GP (who had no part throughout my pregnancy or delivery and was seeing me for the 1st time) to reassure or answer certain concerns I had.
The mot was very thorough and a plan was put together for me. Unfortunately I couldn't afford the whole plan with self employed mat leave pay. So I opted initially with c section scar therapy. I saw Meyer for this and she was great.
She was able to answer all my questions, made the session relaxing and reassured any concerns I had. She gave me exercises to be getting on with at home. From the 1st session I could see an improvement in the appearance of my scar. I had 4 sessions altogether and I'm so happy with the results. The scar colour has improved. My diastis recti has reduced and my mum pouch has reduced.
Definitely recommend to any mums out there!

Went here today for a pregnancy massage at 17 weeks, have been having very painful sciatica pain. The receptionist was absolutely lovely, and Dawn the massage therapist was such a delight and listened to all my concerns. I would highly recommend Bump and Beyond after having a slipped disc in 2020, I just couldn't get going again seeing lots of specialists on the way. I was recommended Debs by Bolton University and to be honest they have been amazing. I was diagnosed with a right sided tummy gap and after just 4 month's have managed through the bump and beyond platinum package to completely sort my tummy gap. I am still under Debs care and hope to graduate in the next few weeks, but will be keeping in touch to ensure things stay on track in the future. Cannot recommend Bump to Beyond enough.
I started my journey with them in September 2023 with lots of issues, including abdominal separation, pain/struggles in the bedroom!, pelvic floor weakness and a very unsightly c section overhang. I also suffer with Endometriosis on top.
Very quickly after booking an initial "mummy mot" assesment, I booked a package with Debs and Dawn, who between them have completly transformed me. I no longer have pain, my pelvic floor is much stronger, I'm now able to have intercourse & my ab separation has reduced by almost 5cm. The change in just 3-4 months is incredible.
The team at bump to beyond are absolutely lovely, so knowledgeable and absolute aces at what they do. If you are considering booking, please do it.. it will be one of the best decisions you make for yourself as a mother. I feel so much stronger and much more empowered thanks to these wonderful ladies. Thank you all so much.

I cannot rave enough about how incredible Debs and the team at Bump and Beyond are. I'd had over ten years of 'professionals' not being able to give me answers or treat my symptoms of endometriosis, adenomyosis, vulvodynia and vaginismus. I'd started to think there was no help for my conditions and felt I'd just have to live with it. Debs knew immediately what my problems were, provided me some well-needed answers and identified an appropriate treatment plan. Not only do the sessions helps enormously with my pain but I've also been given exercises to use outside of the sessions. Even the recommendation of a cream wasn't something a Gynaecologist or Urologist had even suggested to me. I feel in such safe hands with Debs and it feels like someone understands and I have much faith in her and the future looks pain free now. If you've got any of the aforementioned conditions, book an appointment, you'll be so glad you do. Another reviewer wrote that it's 'life-changing' and it truly is. Emily and Dawn are lovely too.
